It isn't new in my family to take a long drive for orgasmic darn good food! :) It isn't a shocker too that we are all umm.. healthy? Or extra healthy!!! :) :) :) So, on a lazy Sunday, we drove all the way to Candelaria and get ourselves the best crispy pata and Sinigang na Sugpo at Lutong Bahay ni Inay :)
The place isn't much to begin with, but let the food do all the talking! The exterior is like a huuuuge kubo, and well, kubo pa din on the inside :) They don't have much on the menu either, only the ever so famous Crispy Pata, Sinigang na Sugpo, and Liversteak. I guess it helps them maintain the quality of their food.
In Candelaria once you say "Crispypatahan" the locals know exactly what you are talking about!!! :) It has two branches one in Candelaria town, and one in San Antonio Village. I Suggest you make reservations before you go because the place is often fully booked, or worse, run out of THE famous Crispy Pata.

Together with my brother Tj while waiting for our favorite crispy pataaaa! :) |
We plastered a huge smile from ear to ear, while we eagerly waited for the food. We decided to skip breakfast so we can savor every bite talaga :) I even forgot the number of times we screamed "extra rice please." If I had forgotten completely about my upcoming Boracay trip, I would have had more rice on my plate.
The Sinigang na sugpo, has it's perfect bite of sourness. It costs at around P100/sugpo, probably worth sharing for 2-3 people. Nothing beats traditionally home cooked Sinigang, with dried Kamias. The Sinigang is full of natural flavors, it makes the best "asawa" for the Crispy Pata! It does not come cheap, but helloooo it's like one the best sinigang everr!!!. :)
Wait for it... CRISPY PATA! :) Yes, I really had to type in in all capital letter to give justice to its wonderfully cooked, Crispy Pata :) Valud at P380-395 good for sharing for 3-4 people. The crispy pata's crispy skin is crispy lickin good. Perfectly home cooked, never too oily, nor is it too dry. Perfectly seasoned with salt, and the meat is so easy to chew, and very tasty in every bite. Their soy sauce and vinegar complemented perfectly in every bite :) Foodgasm in every bite indeed!
