Two stressed working girls drove to the beach on an impulse for a much needed getaway from work on a P1000 budget. End of story. Kidding.
Without much ado, this is the breakdown of our expenses on our mini vacation.
P400- Gas
P500- Cabbana (Which we didn't really use)
P100- Snacks
We were working on a really tight budget, so it was pretty challenging to look for serene spot in the beach where we could just unwind, slack off, and rejuvinate without extra cost. Since, I have perfected the art of haggling, I haggled the Cabbana price down by 50%! We stayed at Taramindu Garden Inn, and had the resort all to ourselves! It was a nice quaint resort, and seemed over our budget. Well yes it was, but of course, with our kuya-we-are-so-stressed look, he gave in! :-) *wink wink*
That's how two broke girls, go on a mini vacation without plans, no anything. We grabbed our bikinis, my books, and voila! We found ourselves planting our toes on the sand, gushing with the waves, sharing endless stories how our lives turned out surprisingly well, and career trajectories. This is one of those rare days that I get to unwind, and have my mind off work, just sit on my ass, spending more quality time with my books, and be utterly grateful for every blessing God continues to pour me with.
Travel gave me my mojos, my backbone, and my pizzazz back! From almost being swallowed whole by the pity party, to a glampacker Travelholic! It seems as if I wake up to blog worthy news, every single day! :-) The possibilities are just endless and opportunities are absofuckinglutely amazing. The cosmos are indeed working towards my benefit where journeys can be as simple as a road trip to the beach, or as grand as a trip to Bicol!-- or maybe some twist of fate and you end up asking for directions from an unassuming charming stranger? *insert kilig*
Hanna and I, are a couple of impulsive beach bums. We are always drawn to any body of water, and our enormous thirst for adventures, and well... Bikinis too=P
Forgive the low quality pics.
I've been ranting for weeks how much I wanted to go to the beach and read my books, and yess finally! :)
We celebrated life, the best version of ourselves, and all the irony in between. Cheers to the good life!
